Changes in NY Court Fee - Effective June 1st
The state of New York has raised their court fee by $3.00 and effective June 1st the court fee for the state of New York will be $55.00.
How to save the search costs in NY State:
If your applicant's primary residence is not in the state of NY you could use the National Criminal Index Search as a supplemental search. The National Criminal Index Search contains some NY criminal and Department of Corrections records. It is a very good supplemental search to increase the scope of your search. Please note, we do not recommend the National Criminal Index Search as your primary source for background checks.
Maine Court Fee Increase - Effective July 1st
The state of Maine has increased their court fee by $6. Effective July 1st the court fee for the State of Maine will be $31.
Vermont Statewide Court Fee Increase - Effective July 1st
As of July 1, 2008 the county court fee for all counties in the State of Vermont increased to $30.00. This information was provided to American DataBank with very short notice. American DataBank apologizes for any inconvenience and we make every effort to keep costs as low as possible.
Florida Statewide Court Fee Increase - Effective Sept 1st
The state of Florida has increased their court fee and effective September 1st the cost for a Florida Statewide criminal search will be $28 per search. American Databank makes every effort to keep costs as low as possible but when court fees change we have no choice but to increase our costs in those jurisdictions.
