the process of exploration and the subsequent finding of a
mineral deposit be more than random chance?
Putting
together the individual elements that contribute to a mine
are always a challenging and intriguing mystery. The interplay
of the individual pieces of this puzzle is in itself both
an act of seeing the earth for its pieces as well as an ability
to grasp the overall scope of the process. All of the pieces
are important because in the end, they must all fit together.
The exploration process is repetitive; searching historic
records, examining the geology, then the geochemistry and
then examining the surface of the earth in search of that
one particular and significant sample that will complete the
cycle. Simply put, the harder you work at mineral exploration,
the better you become.
